Carla A. Blackwell
President & CEO, BBCOM, LLC

Carla Blackwell brings a strong mix of business and financial management, business and economic business development skills to the role of President. After beginning a career in one of the largest independent telecommunications companies and now owning BBCom, a Telecommunications & Engineering Consulting Firm, Blackwell has demonstrated success for over 20 years in a number of management, organizational development and business development roles. Most recently, Blackwell was named Woman of the Year in Communications by the NAPEW (National and Professional Executive Professional Women).

After beginning her career with one of the largest independent telecommunications companies in 1984, Blackwell quickly distinguished herself in the telecommunications arena and led the mergers and acquisitions role. In her beginning years, Blackwell assumed leadership of a group of associates in the Organizational Development (OD) Division, led the OD due diligence and valuation of several acquisitions and led the OD team negotiation and closing of the largest acquisition for this company.

Based on her success, Blackwell was hired at another top Fortune Company to lead the Organizational Development role where she was responsible for the Health and Welfare Programs, Retirement Programs, Recruiting, and Training. This company was responsible for integrating data, services and technology to create and deliver customer and management information solutions for many of the largest, most respected companies in the world. Blackwell also performed the role of a Business Leader supervising the organizational and development team in the administration of the business plan and all financial operations. She also led the sales training initiatives for numerous Fortune 100 companies in the financial services industry.

Blackwell left to start her own company, BBCOM, in 2004 with a focus on driving quality services for the telecommunications industry. In this role, Blackwell leads the business and financial management, economic business development and overall daily management for BBCom.
